Everyone moves into the same retreat center. No sessions yet, just shared dinner and getting to know the people you will be learning beside.
Days 1-3
The science of learning.
Dan Chen teaches how people actually learn and retain: the stuff nobody taught us in undergrad or grad school. Short practice sessions pull you into applying it.
You picked a field that is foreign to you before arriving, and you start working in it. You see where AI fits each step, like having AI generate flashcards for retrieval practice, or getting AI to build small adaptive study tools.
Day 4
The build day.
Unstructured by design. You build the teaching material you will use tomorrow: the artifact that proves you learned it.
Eric and Dan check in with each person once or twice during the day, as coaches.
Day 5
The festival of teaching.
Everyone teaches what they learned to the rest of the room. Twenty-some first reps in one day.
Teaching is where the learning consolidates: it is wonderfully uncomfortable, and it works.
Five days, one house, one skill: learning how to learn, with AI as the accelerator.
